Jess Hawkins awarded prestigious Harvey Milk Honours Medal in Florida

We’re delighted that Jess Hawkins — Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team Driver Ambassador — was awarded the prestigious Harvey Milk Honors Medal. The award presentation took place at a very special Grand Prix edition of the annual Harvey Milk Honors Gala, in association with Racing Pride.

The Gala was held at the iconic Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, where Jess received the recognition alongside Lance Bass, Jacob Tierney and Fay Whatt, in recognition of their collective trailblazing achievements and representation of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Harvey Milk Honors Medal is one of the most significant symbols of recognition in the LGBTQ+ community. 

Joined on stage by Racing Pride CEO Matthew-Harriet Randall, Jess reflected: “To be recognised for my efforts in promoting LGBTQ+ equality and inclusion with an award of this prestige is a genuinely special feeling.”

Stuart Milk stressed the importance of visible figures such as Jess, commenting that: “Trail Blazers, including those leading with proud authenticity in motor sports, remain an extremely vital element that keeps Harvey Milk style hope thriving in our next generation of champions.”
