Racing Pride joins Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and Arm for International Women’s Day
The UN theme for International Women’s Day 2026 was “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls” – which couldn’t resonate more loudly with our LGBTQ+ community. We’re proud to come together in solidarity, raising awareness and championing inclusion including at the intersection of our community with the experiences of women in motorsport.
This year, our CEO Matthew-Harriet Randall hosted a table at the Aston Martin F1 Team International Women’s Day event, which brought together by AMF1 and Arm with support from corporate and community leaders from across AMF1’s partner network.
Entitled “Give what you know, gain who you become”, the event considered practical approaches to skill development, and explored how allyship and knowledge sharing can support high performance. Attendees also discussed how we can improve mentoring and coaching, using them as catalysts for action.
There was a fantastic fireside chat with senior leaders, followed by a keynote from Derin Adetosoye, who shared lessons from her career journey so far.
Ultimately, the event highlighted how organisations thrive when their female employees thrive. Of equal importance is an understanding that inclusion requires consistency, humility and action beyond headline events each year. This refreshing approach resulted in a day which, rather than tokenistic celebration, focused on sharing knowledge, creating space to implement it, and thriving together.
Matthew-Harriet’s key takeaway? Many of the conversations during the day revealed just how women in the room had struggled to say “no” in the workplace. But, perhaps this can be re-framed into an opportunity for mentorship and leadership – both by modelling to women coming up in the workplace that they can say “no” if they wish, but also by encouraging leaders to redirect tasks to female colleagues who can learn from the opportunity.
